I asked him if he did a System Update and he said no, he downloaded Skype and he had downloaded Skype before and that is when everything started. I restored the computer and it actually worked! I have never in my life ever fixed a problem with System Restore so I was feeling pretty good. The only recent activity was a Windows Update that had occurred a few hours before the call. I looked at all the errors in the Event Viewer but found nothing out of the ordinary. I had him boot into Safe Mode and remoted into his computer.
